Michele Azzolini, PhD

I was born in Rovereto, a small town located in the middle of Italian Alps. I soon realized during high school my interest in life science, which I did follow moving to the University of Padova first and the University of Parma after, where I obtained my bachelor’s and master’s degree in Biology. As a master student I had the opportunity to do my research internship abroad, at the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen, The Netherland. I then moved back to Padova to get my PhD in Cell Biology and after abroad again, this time as a postdoc in the group of Jorge Ruas, Karolinska Institutet.
